MACS Facelift
Many people are put off facelifts because they have seen images in the media of people with that ‘windtunnel’ look or a very taut, stretched appearance.
However, the MACS facelift is a minimally invasive procedure which provides a more natural, youthful look - with any incision scars being hid within the hair line and behind the ear lobe. The procedure typically lasts between two to three hours, involves a general anaesthetic and is easily delivered as a day case procedure.
Typically patients are pleased with the end result as it rejuvenates the face and neck.
Eyelid surgery (upper eyelids/lower eyebags)
It is often drooping eyelids or large eye bags that often ‘age’ women or make them look ‘tired’. There is a common belief from Consultants that an upper eyelid procedure is for those women looking for a more youthful look as the removal of upper eyelid gives the eyes a more ‘fresher’ look. The surgery is typically delivered under general anaesthetic and takes from 1-2 hours.
Ear Surgery
Prominent Ear Correction - typically a procedure for women who are unhappy with either the size or positioning of their ears. Performed as day case surgery the procedure to reposition, resize or reshape the ears is normally performed under local anaesthetic and takes around one hour. Ear lobe repair whether split, expanded or damaged are minor surgery procedures delivered under local anaesthetic.
Nose Reshaping
Nose reshaping is an increasingly popular day case procedure with women opting to reduce the size of the nose, straighten the septum, alter the bridge or change the shape of the tip. There are two surgical techniques: ‘open’ whereby there is a small cut under the nostrils and the skin is lifted to reveal the cartilages and bone; and ‘closed’ whereby entry is through the nostrils.
Your Consultant will discuss with you and then determine the most suitable technique to achieve the best result. Surgery is delivered under general anaesthetic and takes around two hours.
